Lolo Phoenix Concert reviews
Spektacular.
I was so excited to see Lolo at Radio City since I couldn't get tickets to the Beacon Theater performance in June. She gave one of the most powerful, emotive performances I've seen to date - she could have gone on stage and eaten broccoli for an hour, and I would have been happy. Jupiter One started promptly at 8:00, playing for about a half an hour. By the time the crew had set up for Lolo, she came out around 9:00. From the very first chord of "The Calculation" to the last note of "Man of a Thousand Faces," she injected her entire being into the delivery of each song. It isn't until you've seen her perform live that you feel the individual personality of each of her songs - hearing her recordings doesn't do her songs justice. The hall resonated with the life and soul of each of her songs, and that of Lolo herself. I had been looking forward to this for such a long time, and she didn't disappoint.
